Saturday after church I met up with my friend June. He went to culinary a few years ago in Vancouver, B.C. and worked for a couple years at two restaurants in Seattle. Although he doesn't cook anymore professionally, he's maintained many of his connections. So we decided to check out Hiroki, a coffee shop in Wallingford. He met the owner Hiroki a while back and hadn't seen him in sometime. June was telling me about an excellent Matcha (a type of green tea) tiramisu Hiroki serves. Anyway, when we got there, Hiroki had more than just Matcha tiramisu. Everything looked and sounded so yummy we ended up ordering 3 pieces of cake: (from left to right) Carrot Pineapple cake, Matcha Tiramisu, and White Chocolate Citrus Lavender cake. Every piece was excellent!
